Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is also the basis of India’s accessibility standard for ICT, IS 17802.
What we’ve done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives. Decorative animations and the 3D model are hidden from screen readers, and everything they show is also given in text.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations become still frames and the scroll-driven 3D tour becomes a plain list.
- Text and controls are designed for sufficient contrast, and the layout works when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- Forms have visible labels, explain errors in text and never time out.
Known limitations
- Copying is turned off. To protect our content, text and images on this website can’t be selected or copied. This doesn’t affect screen readers, but it may get in the way if you rely on copying text into another tool, such as a translator. Write to us and we’ll send you any page as text.
- Pasting into forms is turned off for the same reason. Browser autofill still works, and you can type into every field as normal.
- Some interactive visuals, such as the systolic-array animation and the board scale, are best experienced with a pointer; their information is also available as text and tables on the same page.
